Community Development Program

Deenabandhu Organization believes that Self Help Groups are the most effective units in community organization set up and organization is committed towards formation and capacity building of resource- poor/vulnerable households in Gadag district. Gadag district is a highly drought-prone area and the majority of the community is dependent on rain-fed agriculture. Due to the lack of alternative employment opportunities and due to lack of alternative skills, the majority of the community is forced to distress migration to distant cities like Bangalore.
Deenabandhu Organization promotes SHGs and organizing capacity-building activities like meeting, training, and exposure programs for SHG members. So far the organization has organized three EDP training programs and four skill development training programs for SHG members.
Bookkeeping and Accounting: Deenabandhu trains villagers to bookkeeping of all the records they spend in association with their respective SHGs or Bank. Also understand the transactions they make with them. This will bring in the good financial literacy in saving and planning of their own financial needs.
